I am a professional performer with a B.S. in Music that has performed hundreds of shows over the last ten years both as band member and fill in, as vocalist, guitarist and both. I have no drug or drinking problems. The pages in this site should give you a good idea of what I'm about, my look, my gear and a bit of my performance history. You will find a list of some of my gear, songs I have performed and some shots of me in action.

Outside of performing I also teach guitar. I sometimes do sound reinforcement for other bands and companies. I also stage manage events from time to time and do some digital audio editing. I have worked in the industry in the past as a booking agent and talent coordinator. I have no problem with rehearsals.

I am currently playing with A.K.A. as the singer/guitarist and with Full Throttle as the singer and second guitar. Full Throttle is currently re-organizing and will be back out soon with a new drummer and a new song list. The status of my third band, Hollow Point is up in the air right now. I I also have a regular Thursday night Solo Acoustic show at Alibi's Bar & Grill from 8pm to Midnight. You can back out and click on my Performance Calendar to get more information and directions.

I am also available for fill in work as a guitarist or vocalist on all open dates.

 As a Vocalist:

I have a strong aggressive voice that sits well in most classic and modern rock styles. I can perform pop and R&B styles a bit too but it's not my strongest style. I'm not a singer who tries to sound like other singers. I learn the phrasing and inflection and everything but I don't mimic voices. The singers job often goes well beyond singing. The singer is also the emcee of the show. It's his job to get the crowd involved and nudge them towards the good time they came out to have. I also know when to step back when it's someone elses time in the spotlight. I have wireless headset mics for when I'm playing guitar and wireless handhelds for when I'm not. I have a system that allows me to switch between the two without needing to switch channels on the board.

As a Guitarist:

I'm primarily a rock guitar player who doesn't have to be the loudest instrument on stage and can read music and charts. Know many of those? As with vocals, I'm not a tone chameleon. I don't mimic other guitarist sounds, I play their songs with my sound. I have three primary patches that I use and I don't switch guitars all night long. I found a long time ago that the more effects and patches I used, the sloppier my playing could be. Upon this discovery, I cut back on all the effects. I now simply run a bit of Chorus with the Distortion generated by a tube amp. The occasional Delay and Wah patches are there when the song requires it. In practice and rehearsal, I use no effects at all. When it sounds good that way, it will sound great with the stage setup.
